RESCUE DOGS WHO NEED HOMES
Did you know that most dogs end up in shelters, abandoned or unwanted thru no fault of their own?
Dogs can be left when their owner passes away, is in an accident or has sudden health issues.
One day the dog is snug and warm with their belly full and the next day their world is turned upside down. They become lonely and afraid. They can feel hopeless.
At Four Paws Elkhound Rescue we work tirelessly to make sure these Rescue Dogs are loved and wanted. With your support Rescue Dogs become important family members once again.

Freedom needs a home!

Freedom is a Norwegian Elkhound. Her family had her since she was a pup. Because of health issues, they have to downsize and the family feels she isn’t getting the attention or the space to run that she deserves.

Freedom is a bit shy. When she warms up, she is very loving. She has her own mind about things. She is good with other dogs. Freedom knows sit, come, shake and leave it She is healthy, up to date on shots and spayed. Freedom is 2 1/2 years old. She is located in Mansfield Ohio. Transport help is available.

Rufus needs a home!

Rufus is a German Shepherd mix. His family rescued him from a place where he was being abused and malnourished. He was tortured in his crate by kids. They cannot keep him. They have young children and keep him separated.
​
Rufus is a fun boy. He gets along with other dogs and cats. Rufus is healthy and up to date on shots. He is 14 months old. Rufus is located in the Pittsburgh PA area. Transport help is available.

Dunes needs a home!

Dunes is a Norwegian Elkhound. A kind lady found him. When his owners contacted her, they said they had intentially dumped him and didn’t want him anymore. The kind lady isn’t able to keep him.
​
Dunes is a sweet boy. He would prefer a home where he is introduced properly to other dogs or where he is the only dog. Dunes is two years old. He is located in Atlantic City, NJ. Transport help is available.

Update: Sky’s owner said: “Hey reaching out again for Sky. The help we had set up didn’t work out for us and turned out to be less reliable than we would have liked. Keeping her will just be unfair. We would like to move forward with rehoming her.”
