Accounting procedures

 

Accounting is documented for each individual rescue dog, expense, and bill.

Quick books is the accounting software used.  Separate accounts are maintained for vets, events, fundraising transportation, and general.

1099 are filed each year.  State tax is filed twice a year. 

Accounting categories are maintained such as vet bills, transportation costs, fundraising costs, advertising, marketing, promotional items, shelter and rescue fees.
